Mumbai, 30 January 2026: Simplex Castings Limited has received a major ₹22.5 Crore fabrication order from Gaja Engineering Private Limited. The contract involves the production and blasting of 2,500MT of structural components, including built-up beams, gussets, drilled components, rolled sections, girders, and box columns. The work is scheduled to be completed within 24 months of the purchase order issuance, underlining the company’s capacity to manage high-volume industrial projects efficiently.

Simplex Castings Limited, headquartered in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, is a leading provider of industrial castings and structural fabrication. With offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, and multiple plant locations in Chhattisgarh, the company specialises in fabrication, casting, and finishing of heavy-duty industrial components.

Domestic Contract Highlights Strong Fabrication Demand

The order from Gaja Engineering, a domestic entity, reflects rising demand for large-scale structural fabrication within India. Simplex Castings will be responsible for complex fabrication tasks, ranging from welded and drilled components to fully built-up structural sections. The scale of the order demonstrates growing confidence in Indian industrial capabilities to deliver heavy and precision-engineered structures.

Scope of Work Includes Diverse Structural Components

Under the agreement, Simplex Castings will manufacture built-up beams, gussets, drilled components, rolled sections, girders, and box columns, emphasising the firm’s ability to handle diverse fabrication requirements across multiple industrial sectors. The contract represents a comprehensive engagement where the company will oversee all stages of production and finishing, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.

Timeline Ensures Project Execution Efficiency

The work is required to be completed within two years, giving Simplex Castings sufficient time to allocate resources across its facilities, including Bhilai and Rajnandgaon plants. The defined timeline ensures structured project management and reduces the risk of operational delays while accommodating large-scale fabrication processes.

Corporate Governance Confirms Arm’s-Length Deal

There are no promoter or promoter group interests in Gaja Engineering, and the contract does not qualify as a related-party transaction. This confirms the deal was executed on an arm’s-length basis, in compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements, including the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Project Scale Reinforces Operational Capabilities

The ₹22.5 Crore order exemplifies Simplex Castings’ capability to manage high-value projects while maintaining precision and quality. Handling 2,500MT of complex structural components across multiple facilities highlights the company’s operational reach and readiness to meet industrial demand in a structured and timely manner.

Strategic Implications for Fabrication Sector

Securing such a significant contract reflects the continuing growth in India’s domestic fabrication and construction industries. With structured timelines, clear project deliverables, and diverse component requirements, the order allows Simplex Castings to demonstrate efficiency, quality control, and project management excellence across its multiple plants.
