New Delhi, June 26, 2025 – Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd (NSE: SDBL, BSE: 507514) announced a robust 70% year-on-year volume growth in its Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) segment for April and May 2025, highlighting the brand’s momentum in consumer demand and effective market execution.

IMFL Growth Outpaces Expectations

According to the company, IMFL volumes grew by almost 70 per cent between the first and second months of the FY26 period compared to the same period last year. The management attributes this growth to the continued strength of its brands, the strategic execution in the same market, and rising consumer demand.

Strategic Market Push and Brand Positioning

The result is attributed to improved market penetration, a more efficient distribution network, and a growing demand for premium spirits. Due to its brand focus on whisky, rum, vodka, and gin, the SDBL IMFL portfolio is a mix of both value and premium products.

While no granular data was disclosed in the press release, the sharp uptick suggests that the company is likely outperforming category averages in key states where it operates, including Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Odisha, and Karnataka.

Regulatory Context

The disclosure was made by Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, indicating that it constitutes a material event that may influence investor decisions.

About Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd

Incorporated in 1993 and headquartered in New Delhi with a corporate office in Bhopal, Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd is a listed entity engaged in the manufacturing and sale of beer and IMFL products. The company is listed on both NSE and BSE and operates several bottling and production facilities across India. It is known for brands such as Hunter, Black Fort, and Milestone 100.

The company’s ability to drive strong IMFL growth amid evolving market dynamics is likely to bolster investor sentiment and market share in the premium alcoholic beverages space.
