New Delhi, Oct 14: Here are six stocks in focus on Wednesday, from a Rs 48.98 crore Odisha order at RailTel to first results since listing at Hero Motors and SS Retail, fresh defence orders at Bharat Electronics, Hyundai Motor Group’s $15.5 billion India investment plan and Adani Enterprises’ AI hardware tie-up with Jabil. Here’s what’s driving each stock and what to track through the session.

RailTel Corporation of India (RAILTEL)

RailTel Corporation of India (RAILTEL) has secured a work order worth Rs 48.98 crore, including taxes, from the Higher Education Department of the Odisha government. The company will develop 83 digital application modules for the department’s digital governance platform, deploy the resources needed for execution and integrate the new modules with the department’s existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

The project is due for completion by May 10, 2027, and follows a Rs 48.40 crore order from the Odisha Primary Education Program Authority on October 5. A work order’s value does not translate directly into profit, so investors will track execution timelines and revenue recognition.

Hero Motors (HEROMOTORS)

Hero Motors (HEROMOTORS) reported a 115.3 per cent rise in profit to Rs 10.2 crore from Rs 4.7 crore a year earlier, while revenue jumped 24.9 per cent to Rs 319.3 crore from Rs 255.7 crore. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 92 per cent, and the operating margin widened to 11.26 per cent from 7.32 per cent.

These are the first results since the automotive technology company’s stock market debut last month, so investors will watch how the shares react and whether the margin gains hold. The company supplies engineered powertrain solutions and components to automotive makers in India, Europe, the US and ASEAN.

SS Retail (SSRETAIL)

SS Retail (SSRETAIL) posted a 59.4 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit to Rs 23.7 crore in the June quarter from Rs 14.9 crore. Revenue jumped 58.6 per cent to Rs 789 crore from Rs 497.6 crore. These are the multi-brand mobile and electronics retailer’s first results since its September 23 listing.

Margins narrowed, with EBITDA up 48 per cent to Rs 45 crore but the EBITDA margin easing to 5.7 per cent from 6.1 per cent as other expenses rose to Rs 42 crore from Rs 23 crore. Investors will watch margins in coming quarters.

Bharat Electronics (BEL)

Bharat Electronics (BEL) has secured additional orders worth Rs 533 crore since its last disclosure on September 17. The major orders include communication equipment, avionics, cybersecurity solutions, drones, jammers, software solutions, upgrades, spares and services.

The company’s previous disclosure, on September 17, was for orders worth Rs 648 crore. BEL shares closed at Rs 379.90 on Tuesday, up 1.69 per cent from Rs 373.60, and investors will track follow-on order announcements.

Hyundai Motor India (HYUNDAI)

Hyundai Motor Group announced an investment plan of $15.5 billion in India between 2026 and 2032, after Executive Chair Euisun Chung met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. The investment will be made through Hyundai Motor India (HYUNDAI), Kia India and other group entities, with a dedicated investment entity to be set up in India.

The plan covers manufacturing expansion, research and development, local sourcing and future mobility, and includes automotive financing, electric vehicle charging and end-of-life vehicle recycling. The Group said the investment highlights India’s importance as a key market for its growth, expansion into emerging markets and development of next-generation automotive technologies.

Adani Enterprises (ADANIENT)

Adani Enterprises (ADANIENT) has entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jabil Inc. to form a 50:50 joint venture focused on manufacturing and assembling AI and data centre equipment in India. The proposed venture would build a multi-gigawatt platform covering AI racks, servers, storage, networking, power distribution and liquid-cooling systems.

The MoU follows the companies’ June 2026 announcement of intent and fits the Adani Group’s pledge to invest $100 billion in green-energy-powered, AI-ready data centres by 2035. Since the MoU is non-binding, definitive agreements, the size of the investment and timelines are the next triggers to watch.
