Mumbai, June 16: Suven Life Sciences announced the successful completion of the first-in-human (FIH) Phase-1 clinical study of SUVN-16107, a novel Muscarinic M1 Positive Allosteric Modulator (M1-PAM), and confirmed its advancement into Phase-2 clinical development.

The completed Phase-1 trial (NCT06705088) was conducted as a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in healthy volunteers. The Single Ascending Dose segment enrolled 40 participants across five cohorts, while the Multiple Ascending Dose segment enrolled 24 participants across three cohorts. The trial also incorporated translational biomarkers designed to assess central nervous system activity.

Suven said SUVN-16107 demonstrated dose-proportional pharmacokinetics, achieved projected therapeutic exposure levels and showed pharmacodynamic evidence of increased alertness and enhanced information processing. Food intake was found to have no clinically relevant impact on the drug’s pharmacokinetic profile.
