Mumbai, November 12: Tata Power has announced the release of its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. It reported a 14% YoY rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,245 crore. Furthermore, it also announced that it is planning to set up a 10-gigawatt (GW) wafer and ingot manufacturing project.

Tata Power’s Q2FY26 and Half-yearly Financial Snapshot

The company’s revenue grew 3% YoY to ₹15,769 crore compared to ₹15,247 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA rose 6% to ₹4,032 crore from ₹3,808 crore. Its profit after tax rose 14% YoY to ₹1,245 crore. This performance was driven by strong performance across its diversified business segments. However, the company’s EBITDA margin declined to 21.2% from 23.8% in Q2FY25.

For H1Y26, its revenue increased by 4% to ₹33,233 crore. The company’s EBITDA grew 6% year-on-year to ₹4,032 crore in Q2 FY26 and 11% to ₹7,961 crore in H1 FY26.

10 GW Wafer and Ingot Facility in Planning Stage

The company announced that it is also planning to set up  a 10 GW wafer and ingot facility. The facility will improve India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. Tata Power’s module and cell manufacturing plants under construction will further support its solar capacity expansion.

Shares Open 0.09% Lower At ₹395.25

Tata Power share price opened lower by 0.09%, or 0.35 points, and is trading at ₹395.25, as of 9:15 AM. The current traded volume for the shares is 58.51 thousand shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹1,26,408 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹447.70 and their 52-week low at ₹326.25.

Investor Takeaway For Tata Power

Tata Power’s Q2FY26 and half-yearly financial results were strong, as it saw growth in its revenue and EBITDA. Furthermore, its announcement of a plan to set up a 10 GW wafer and ingot facility is a positive step as it will help the company expand its solar capacity. Investors will hope that the slight fall in the share price reverses and the shares end the day in the green.
