New Delhi: Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri Ltd (TBZ) on Friday reported 55 per cent drop in consolidated net profit at Rs 14.27 crore for the second quarter of fiscal 2026-27, as higher expenses weighed on earnings.
Net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 31.53 crore, according to a regulatory filing. Total income rose to Rs 707.23 crore from Rs 687.66 crore.
Expenses climbed 6 per cent to Rs 686.48 crore from Rs 647.78 crore.
GRT Jewellers has taken control of TBZ after the jeweller’s promoters, Shrikant Zaveri, his family members and two TBZ group companies, sold their combined 74.12 per cent stake on October 30, the filing said.
The sellers no longer hold any TBZ shares and will be removed from the “promoter and promoter group” category under rules of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Following the share transfer, GRT Jewellers became TBZ’s parent company, with effect from October 30, 2026.
As part of a board reorganisation, Govindarajulu Rajendran Radhakrishnan has been appointed additional managing director for five years, subject to shareholder approval.
