The proposed ammunition facility would add a specialised manufacturing capability to Tembo’s existing engineering and industrial operations. With a targeted capacity of 100 million rounds a year, the project is expected to operate on a significantly larger scale than a conventional component manufacturing facility.

Tembo Managing Director Sanjay J. Patel said the partnership combines complementary engineering and manufacturing capabilities and would help the company strengthen its position in the defence manufacturing ecosystem.

The company said it intends to work with Lachaussee towards the execution of the project, with production deliveries planned for 2028 and 2029.
