Mumbai July, 22: A handful of small-cap stocks witnessed one-sided trading on Tuesday, ending the session locked at their respective price bands as investors continued to chase momentum in select counters. While buying interest remained concentrated in a few niche stocks, selling pressure was equally visible in others, resulting in lower circuit moves.

Unlike broader market rallies, price band hitters often reflect intense demand or supply where buyers or sellers dominate throughout the trading session, leaving little room for price discovery.

Top Price Band Hitters

Company LTP % Change Price Band Status
USA Seeds ₹84.50 ▲4.97% 5% Upper Band
Delphi World Money ₹6.85 ▲4.90% 5% Upper Band
MOS Utility ₹11.95 ▲4.82% 5% Upper Band
Winsome Yarns ₹2.33 ▲1.75% 2% Upper Band
Shrenik ₹0.36 0.00% 5% Locked
VIP Clothing ₹13.42 ▼4.96% 5% Lower Band
MEP Infrastructure ₹0.57 ▼1.72% 2% Lower Band

Buying Interest Remained Highly Selective

Buying momentum was strongest in USA Seeds, Delphi World Money and MOS Utility, all of which closed near their respective upper circuit limits. The sharp moves suggest sustained demand throughout the session, with buyers continuing to absorb available supply.

Winsome Yarns also finished at its upper price band, although the gain was capped by its 2% circuit limit. Meanwhile, Shrenik remained frozen at its circuit level without any price movement, indicating an imbalance between buy and sell orders.

Selling Pressure Persisted in a Few Counters

On the other side of the market, VIP Clothing ended locked in the 5% lower circuit after witnessing persistent selling interest through the day. MEP Infrastructure also remained under pressure, closing at its 2% lower band.

The limited number of circuit-bound stocks compared with previous sessions suggests that speculative activity remained contained, with investors focusing only on a handful of names rather than chasing the broader small-cap universe.

Conclusion

Tuesday’s price band hitters reflected a market where stock-specific action continued to dominate. Buying remained concentrated in counters such as USA Seeds, MOS Utility and Delphi World Money, while VIP Clothing and MEP Infrastructure faced sustained selling pressure. The mixed list underscores that momentum remained selective, with investors rewarding specific opportunities instead of taking broad-based positions across the small-cap segment.
