Mumbai, July 8: PC Jeweller, Vodafone Idea, PhysicsWallah and Share India Securities emerged as the most actively traded stocks on the NSE by volume on Wednesday, attracting strong investor interest amid company-specific developments. PC Jeweller led the gainers after announcing fresh debt repayments, while Vodafone Idea rebounded after a four-session slide. PhysicsWallah extended its recent rally on optimism over its revised student financing strategy, and Share India Securities climbed for a second straight session, continuing its sharp gains over the past week.

PC Jeweller Limited (up 7.23%)

PC Jeweller share price rose on Wednesday after the jewellery retailer said it had fully repaid its outstanding debt to two of the 14 consortium banks under its September 2024 settlement agreement, marking another milestone in its balance-sheet turnaround. The company reiterated its target of becoming debt-free by the second quarter of FY27, boosting investor sentiment. The latest update comes days after PC Jeweller reported 21% year-on-year growth in consolidated revenue for the June quarter and said it had reduced its outstanding bank debt by more than 90% since signing the joint settlement agreement with lenders. The company expects the repayment of its remaining debt during the current quarter to significantly strengthen its financial position and support its ongoing turnaround strategy.

Vodafone Idea Limited (up 2.24%)

Vodafone Idea share price rebounded on Wednesday after declining for four straight sessions, recovering some of the losses triggered by reports of fresh challenges in the telecom operator’s bid to secure a Rs 35,000-crore loan package. A report on Monday said a consortium of lenders had sought additional safeguards and asked the company to submit a revised business plan before approving the funding. The development has raised concerns that any further delay in loan disbursal could hamper Vodafone Idea’s planned network expansion and capital expenditure, key to strengthening its competitive position in the telecom market.

Physicswallah Limited (up 0.77%)

Physicswallah share price extended gains for a third consecutive session on Wednesday, taking their one-week advance to more than 16% and their one-month rally to around 42%. Investor sentiment has remained buoyant since the edtech company announced a month ago that it would abandon plans to lend directly to students through its finance arm and instead partner with regulated non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). The strategic shift is expected to lower balance sheet and credit risks while allowing the company to continue offering financing solutions through third-party lenders, a move that has sparked a sharp rally in the stock.

Share India Securities Limited (up 11.00%)

Share India Securities share price extended gains for a second straight session on Wednesday, taking rally to over 30% in the past week and 39% over the last month, while the stock is up 11% so far in 2026. Investor sentiment has remained unaffected even as the company informed exchanges on June 23 that a penalty by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has been levied in the normal and ordinary course of stock broking operations and did not have any material impact on the company’s financials, operations or other business activities. The company also said it was taking appropriate steps to address the issue.
