Mumbai, October 29: PC Jeweller, Moneyview, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Power were among the stocks attracting investor attention on the NSE on Thursday, October 29, amid stock-specific developments and shifts in market sentiment. PC Jeweller rose 2.22% as investors tracked its earnings growth and debt reduction, while newly listed Moneyview gained 4.3%, snapping a losing streak. Vodafone Idea advanced 1.26% after fresh telecom subscriber data highlighted its continued struggle to match customer additions by Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. Reliance Power climbed 6.61%, extending its rally from the previous session despite remaining sharply lower for the year.

PC Jeweller Limited (up 2.22%)

PC Jeweller shares jumped on Thursday, after declining on Wednesday and posting a modest gain on Tuesday. Despite the rebound, the stock has declined 10.6% over five days. The jewellery retailer reported a 58% year-on-year rise in net profit for the September quarter last week.

The stock has climbed 74% in 2026, with investor sentiment supported by the company’s financial recovery and efforts to repair its balance sheet.

A key development in the turnaround was PC Jeweller’s settlement of outstanding dues with its lender banks under a one-time settlement (OTS) arrangement, enabling the company to declare itself debt-free. The move marks an important step in reducing its financial burden and strengthening its balance sheet.

Going forward, investors will watch whether the company can sustain earnings growth, consolidate its improved financial position and benefit from demand for jewellery.

Moneyview Limited (up 4.3%)

Moneyview shares rose 4.3% on Thursday, snapping a losing streak as the stock rebounded from recent weakness. The shares have remained broadly unchanged over the past five trading sessions and are down 4.3% since October 1, the day of listing.

The digital financial services platform made a strong stock market debut earlier this month, up nearly 62% on the NSE against its issue price. The listing followed a Rs 1,092 crore initial public offering that attracted overwhelming investor demand, with the issue subscribed 98.46 times.

Moneyview’s IPO comprised a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 750 crore and an offer for sale of approximately Rs 342 crore by existing shareholders. The strong debut reflected investor interest in the company’s exposure to India’s expanding digital lending market.

Despite the recent recovery, the stock’s performance since listing suggests investors are reassessing its valuation following the initial rally. Market participants will track the company’s financial performance, growth in digital lending and its ability to sustain business expansion as the newly listed stock establishes a trading range.

Vodafone Idea Limited (up 1.26%)

Vodafone Idea shares rose on Thursday after declining in the previous session after data showed yesterday the telecom operator continued to trail its larger rivals in attracting wireless subscribers. The company added 5.50 lakh mobile users in September, according to data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), but Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel accounted for substantially larger customer additions.

Vodafone Idea’s wireless subscriber base crossed the 20-crore mark to reach 20.01 crore at the end of September, giving it a 15.39% share of the market. However, the relatively modest increase in its user base highlights the challenge facing the telecom operator as it attempts to regain ground against its better-positioned competitors.

Reliance Jio added 27.13 lakh wireless subscribers during the month, taking its total user base to 51.11 crore. Bharti Airtel followed closely, adding 26.92 lakh customers to reach 49.43 crore. State-owned BSNL also outperformed Vodafone Idea, adding 6.26 lakh subscribers in September.

Jio retained its position as India’s largest wireless operator with a 39.32% market share, followed by Airtel at 38.02% and Vodafone Idea at 15.39%. The latest figures underline the competitive pressure on Vodafone Idea, with its larger private-sector rivals continuing to capture the bulk of new connections.

Investors will monitor whether Vodafone Idea can accelerate subscriber additions, improve its competitive position and translate its efforts to strengthen operations into sustained customer growth.

Reliance Power Limited (up 6.61%)

Reliance Power continued its surge from the previous session, the stock up 8.7% over a week and down 6% over a month. It is down 46.6% this year. The power generation company, part of the Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group, has been under scrutiny following action by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). About two weeks ago, the federal agency said it had seized Indian assets worth Rs 2,033 crore in connection with alleged diversion of funds of an equivalent amount to tax havens the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands.
