Chennai, November 10: UCAL Limited (NSE: UCAL, BSE: 500464) has announced its Q2FY26 financial results, reporting a consolidated net loss of ₹4.47 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. The loss was primarily driven by a decline in other income, while higher operating expenses further impacted margins, despite stable revenue performance on a year-on-year basis.

UCAL Limited manufactures precision carburettors, fuel-injection systems, and components. It serves the automotive and engineering sectors across India and select international markets. Its clientele includes both OEM and aftermarket clients. The company was incorporated in 1985 and has been listed since September 13, 1995. It trades on NSE and BSE under the tickers UCAL and 500464, respectively.

Key Financial Highlights (₹ in lakh)

The company reported revenue from operations of ₹21,130.19 lakh in Q2FY26, reflecting a 0.8% year-on-year (YoY) decline from Q2FY25, but an 8.6% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase from Q1FY26. The total income stood at ₹21,106.32 lakh, down 1.7% YoY, though it represented a 6.9% QoQ growth. Meanwhile, total expenses rose on both fronts—0.5% YoY and 5.4% QoQ, to reach ₹21,311.07 lakh during the quarter. Rising input and operating costs continued to exert pressure on the company’s profitability.

UCAL reported a loss before tax of ₹204.75 lakh, narrowing from a ₹475.87 lakh loss in Q1FY26, but reversing from a ₹264.62 lakh profit in Q2FY25. Similarly, the company posted a net loss of ₹446.93 lakh, an improvement over the ₹600.98 lakh loss in the previous quarter, though a sharp fall compared to the ₹48.74 lakh profit recorded in the same period last year.

Half-Year Review (H1FY26 vs H1FY25)

September 30, 2025, also marked the end of the first financial year of 2026. The company suffered a net loss of ₹10.47 crore during H1FY26. This was a significant low, from losses of ₹2.02 crore in H1FY25. Revenue from operations remained steady at ₹40,582.46 lakh. This was nearly flat from ₹40,009.48 lakh a year earlier in H1FY25.
