US equity markets closed the day in green yesterday, 15th September, 2025. Nasdaq ended the day, up by 207.65 points or 0.94%. S&P 500 ended the day, up by 30.99 points or 0.47%.  Dow Jones ended the day, up by 49.23 points or 0.11%. US Federal Reserve’s two-day monetary policy will start today. It is widely expected that an interest rate cut will be announced by the US central bank tomorrow.

European markets ended the day mostly in green yesterday

European markets also ended the day mostly in green yesterday. Euro Stoxx 50 ended the day, up by 49.69 points or 0.92%. Dax ended the day, up by 50.71 points or 0.21%.  FTSE 100 ended the day, down by 6.26 points or 0.067%.

Asian markets start the day on a mixed note

Asian markets have begun the day on a mixed note today, 16th September, 2025. At 8:55 a.m. IST, Nikkei 225 is up by 136 points or 0.30%. Hang Seng is down by 11.41 points or 0.034%.  Shanghai Composite is down by 3.25 points or 0.084%.  South Korean Kospi is up by 40.37 points or 1.18%.

India, US to resume bilateral trade talks today

India and US will resume bilateral trade talks today.  Indian equity markets may see a mixed day today. After the short-term profit booking seen yesterday, there may be some short term buying today.
