US Markets Ended the Day in Red, Yesterday

US markets ended the day in red yesterday, 21st May, 2025. Nasdaq ended the day, down by 72.75 points or 0.38%. S&P 500 ended, down by 23.14 points or 0.39%. Dow Jones ended, down by 114.83 points or 0.27%. The decline was driven by the decline in technology stocks, yesterday. Nvidia, Apple, Meta etc. saw their stocks closing in the red, yesterday. Tesla’s shares gained after Elon Musk said that he would limit his political activities and contributions. He added that he will lead Tesla at least for the next 5 years.
Asian Markets have Opened Mostly on a Positive Note
Asian markets have opened mostly on a positive note today. At 9:10 a.m. India time, Nikkei 225 is down by 37.69 points or 0.10%. Hang Seng index is up by 122.65 points or 0.52%. Shanghai Composite is up by 13.02 points or 0.39%. South Korean Kospi is up by 25.19 points or 0.97%.
Indian markets are therefore getting mixed cues from foreign markets, today. On the back of these cues, they have opened on a positive note today. At 9:20 a.m. Indian time, today, Nifty 50 is up by 46.95 points or 0.19%. Sensex is up by 121 points or 0.15%.
