Valor Estate Limited (NSE: DBREALTY) has announced the near-completion of evictions for its ambitious slum redevelopment project in Worli, Mumbai, setting the stage for the launch of “The Prestige Place”, a landmark mixed-use development spanning over 4 million sq. ft. of saleable area.

What Are the Key Highlights of the Project?

The large-scale urban transformation is being executed by Worli Urban Development Project LLP, a joint venture between Valor Estate’s wholly owned subsidiary and Prestige Estates Projects Limited. Valor Estate holds a 50% economic interest in the project.

What Makes This Redevelopment Strategically Important?

Occupants of the remaining 368 structures have been directed to vacate within 21 days from June 4, 2025. Once cleared, the site will be ready for construction activities.

What does the management say?

The project, to be anchored by world-renowned architecture firm SOM, designers of the Burj Khalifa, is being positioned as one of South Mumbai’s largest and most comprehensive mixed-use urban renewal initiatives. According to Valor Estate, “The rehabilitation component is being designed as per global best practices in urban planning and sustainability.”
