Varun Beverages to Buy 50% Stake in Everest Industrial Lanka for $3.75 Million

Varun Beverages Limited (VBL), one of the largest bottlers for PepsiCo with a presence in key markets, has entered into a contract to acquire the balance 50% equity shares of Everest Industrial (Private) Limited (EIL), an entity engaged in the manufacturing of visi-coolers/fountains in Sri Lanka. The deal, which is for an undisclosed sum (USD 3.75 million), will be done via cash and will formally conclude no later than May 30, 2025.

EIL, which was registered on December 18, 2003, is engaged in commercial manufacture and sale of visi-coolers, which are sold in the domestic and overseas markets. This investment will enable the company to in-house its visi-cooler needs, enhancing efficiency and supply chain control across its beverage ecosystem, according to VBL.
