VLS Finance Share Price Jumps Nearly 18% After Board Approves Rs 100 Crore Buyback

New Delhi, November 24, 2025: VLS Finance Limited (NSE: VLSFINANCE | BSE: 511333) saw its shares spike after the company’s board approved a buyback of 26,31,578 equity shares, valued at Rs 100 crore. Investor sentiment turned strongly positive on the announcement, driving the stock up by nearly 18%.
VLS Finance Limited operates as an investment company with a diversified portfolio. The company was incorporated in 1986 and is headquartered in New Delhi. It is listed on NSE and BSE and has maintained an active trading status since its listing on 25 May 1995. It trades on NSE under the ticker VLSFINANCE and on BSE under the ticker 511333.
Buyback Announcement Triggers Rally
The board of directors of VLS Finance met in a meeting held on November 22, 2025. During the meeting, the board approved a buyback of up to 26,31,578 equity shares. The buyback will be done at Rs 380 per share. The total buyback will aggregate to Rs 100 crore. This represents about 7.71 percent of the company’s paid-up equity capital. The buyback will be executed via the tender offer route. The record date for the same is set on December 12, 2025.
Currently, individual promoters hold 38,96,130 shares in the company, and promoters (companies) hold 1,37,95,806. The public holding of the company is at 1,63,18,305 shares, bringing the total to 3,40,10,241 shares. Post buyback, the company will have 3,13,78,663 shares. So far, one member of the promoter group has expressed interest in participating.
Additional Corporate Updates
During the same meeting, the board had also approved the appointment of Shri Gaurav Goel (DIN: 00076111). He will be appointed as a Non-Executive Independent Director. The tenure of the appointment will be a five-year term starting November 22, 2025. Goel holds a BBA from the American College, London. He has an impressive career and is currently serving as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd.

The share price of VLS Finance Limited closed at ₹309.40, up ₹45.62 or 17.29% as of 3:30 PM IST. The stock opened at ₹305, hit a high of ₹316.53 and a low of ₹298.44 during the session, with a market capitalisation of ₹1,050 crore.
