Why Volume Gainers List Matters
The Volume Gainers list highlights securities where current trading activity is significantly higher than their recent average. Comparing today’s volume with the past-week average helps identify counters that are attracting unusually high market participation. The percentage change adds another layer of context by showing whether the stock or ETF is moving higher or lower alongside the volume increase. However, a sharp rise in volume alone does not explain the reason behind the move.
Conclusion
At 3:30 PM IST on October 1, 2026, the ICICI Prudential Nifty 10 yr Benchmark G-Sec ETF led the volume-gainers list with activity at 515.24 times its weekly average. Pix Transmissions Ltd and DSP Nifty Next 30 ETF followed at 155.74x and 143.74x, respectively. Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd also recorded significant increases in trading activity while gaining 5.15% and 6.18%. The snapshot reflected unusually high participation across both equity and ETF securities.
