Why Volume Gainers Matter
A sudden rise in trading volume can show that a stock is attracting much more attention than usual. It can happen when buying or selling activity increases, or when investors react to a company-specific development or broader market trend. Looking at the volume change along with the stock’s price movement makes the data more useful. Still, unusually high volume should not be viewed as a standalone reason to buy or sell a stock.
Conclusion
The volume-gainer list at 4:00 PM showed a sharp increase in market participation across the five stocks highlighted. Bajaj Finserv Mutual Fund-Bajaj Finserv Nifty 50 ETF recorded the biggest jump over its weekly average, while GOCL Corporation Ltd and BF Utilities Ltd also saw strong activity. Hikal Ltd stood out with a 20% gain alongside more than 2 crore shares traded. Overall, the numbers point to heightened interest in these counters, although investors should look at the underlying reason for the activity before taking any investment decision.
