Mumbai, October 19: Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABD) has commenced commercial operations at its Moradabad bottling facility in Uttar Pradesh, adding an initial annual capacity of 6 million cases as it expands its manufacturing presence in the state.

The facility is part of assets acquired by ABD in January 2026 for approximately ₹70 crore. The company subsequently invested around ₹40 crore to upgrade the unit.

Moradabad Facility to Strengthen Uttar Pradesh Operations

The commissioning is expected to improve service efficiency and reduce costs through increased in-house bottling and lower franchise fees. ABD said the facility forms part of its broader investment plans in Uttar Pradesh, where it has announced investments exceeding ₹600 crore.

The company’s plans for the state include upgrading the Moradabad facility and developing an integrated manufacturing unit comprising a dual-mode distillery and additional bottling capacity.

ABD Managing Director Amar Sinha said the facility would strengthen the company’s manufacturing base in Uttar Pradesh. He added that backward integration would help improve supply-chain agility, cost efficiency and control over the value chain.
