Jalandar, October 8: AGI Infra Limited has announced that October 10 will serve as the record date for its 1:5 stock split. The record date is the day on which the company finalises its shareholder list to determine eligibility for the stock split. Shareholders recorded on this date will receive the split shares. Consequently, investors aiming to participate in the split must hold or purchase AGI Infra shares by the close of trading today to qualify.

As of 9:55 AM, AGI Infra Limited’s share price was up by 1.20%, or 14.50 points, and was trading at ₹1,223. The current traded volume stands at 65.72 thousand shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹2,953 crore.

AGI Infra Limited is an Indian company that operates in the real estate sector and also operates cold storage facilities. It was established in 2005 and is headquartered in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Understanding AGI Infra’s stock Split

Under AGI Infra’s 1:5 stock split, eligible shareholders will receive five shares for every one share they currently hold. This split will convert each existing share of ₹5 face value into five shares of ₹1 face value each. For instance, an investor holding 100 shares prior to the split will receive 500 shares once the stock split is executed.

However, this corporate stock action will not have any change on your total invested value. This is because the stock price of AGI Infra will adjust in proportion to the stock split and will fall to one-fifth of its previous level. Hence, even though you will receive more shares, the fall in the share price will result in the investment value remaining the same.

Furthermore, this move will not affect the company’s fundamentals or market capitalisation. It will increase the number of tradable shares, improving liquidity and accessibility for retail investors.
