Hyderabad, September 18, 2025 – Andhra Sugars Limited (NSE: ANDHRSUGAR) has declared a dividend of ₹0.80 per share of equity (40% on the face value of ₹2 each) for the year ended March 31, 2025. Payment is subject to shareholder approval in the company’s upcoming 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for September 25, 2025.

Formed in 1947 and having its head office in Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh, The Andhra Sugars Limited is involved in sugar manufacture, chemicals, and fertilizers. Having a listing on both BSE and NSE, the company has become a consistent dividend-paying firm, which reflects its shareholder orientation.

Dividend Announcement

The record date for being eligible for the dividend was fixed by the company as September 19, 2025. The register of members will be closed between September 20 to 25, 2025, inclusive of both days. Payment of dividend will be made on or after September 29, 2025, in respect of shareholders whose names are on the record date.

Dividend History

Andhra Sugars has a long history of rewarding its shareholders. In 2024, the firm announced a final dividend of ₹1 per share, while in 2023 paid ₹2 per share. The highest dividend over recent times was in 2020 when it announced an interim dividend of ₹20 per share.

Andhra Sugars’ shares were at ₹78.00, 0.47% lower than the previous close of ₹128.95, as investors welcomed the dividend news. The stock had opened at ₹129.20 and had gone as high as ₹132.00 intraday before softening. The company’s market capitalization was approximately ₹1,060 crore.

AGM and Shareholder Approval

Annual General Meeting for the year 78 shall be held on September 25, 2025, when the shareholders will ratify the dividend, and the FY25 company performance will be taken into account.
