Mumbai, November 18: Autoriders International’s share price is trading 83% lower today as it goes ex-bonus. At the market open, the price stood at ₹847.95, down from the previous close of ₹5,097.60. Investors need not worry, as this drop does not reflect a real loss but is simply an adjustment following the company’s 5:1 bonus issue.
Autoriders International Limited (BSE: 512277) is a premium car rental and travel services provider in India. The company is part of the Autoriders Group and offers a range of services, including chauffeur-driven cars, self-drive rental cars, airport transfer services, and domestic and international tour packages, primarily catering to corporate clients and tourists. The company was established in 1985 and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
What Triggered the Share Price Fall?
The drop in the share price is due to the company’s 5:1 bonus issue. Under this announcement, eligible investors holding one share will receive five additional shares. As a result, the share price has been adjusted to reflect the increase in total shares. This adjustment ensures that, despite receiving extra shares, the total value of each shareholder’s investment remains unchanged, and the company’s overall market capitalisation is unaffected.
Autoriders International Share Price Snapshot
As of 10:02 AM, Autoriders International’s share price was up by 0.18%, or 1.52 points, and was trading at ₹849.45. This rise in the share price is the real change and not the 83% fall, which was just a bonus issue adjustment. The company’s market capitalisation is unchanged at ₹295.15 crore.
What’s Next for Autoriders International?
Autoriders International has announced a 5:1 bonus issue to reward shareholders. The bonus issue will provide 5 new shares to eligible investors at no additional cost. The action is also aimed at increasing liquidity for the shares and attracting new investors as the share price reduces. Investors will hope that the shares see increased demand and trade in the green for the rest of the trading session.
