Bajaj Housing Finance Raises ₹1,991 Crore Through NCD Allotment; Shares Edge Higher

Mumbai, June 5: Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd on Friday said it has allotted secured redeemable non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth ₹1,991.83 crore on a private placement basis.

The allotment was approved by the company’s Debenture Allotment Committee during its meeting held earlier in the day.

The housing finance company allotted 2,00,000 NCDs having a face value of ₹1 lakh each. The instruments carry a coupon rate of 7.83% per annum and are scheduled to mature on May 18, 2029, according to a regulatory filing submitted on Friday.

Interest payments will begin from May 18, 2027, and continue annually thereafter until maturity, the filing showed.

The debentures are proposed to be listed on the Wholesale Debt Market segment of BSE.

Bajaj Housing Finance share price remained in the green following the fundraising announcement.

The stock traded at ₹84.38 on the NSE, up 1.15% or ₹0.96 as of 2:28 PM IST on June 5, 2026, according to exchange data.

The counter witnessed steady movement through the afternoon session as investors tracked borrowing activity across the financial services sector.

Fundraising Seen Supporting Lending Operations

The latest debt issuance comes as housing finance companies continue to access bond markets to diversify funding sources and support loan growth.

Bajaj Housing Finance said the NCDs are secured through a first pari-passu charge on identified loan receivables and book debts. The company added that the security cover would be maintained in line with the outstanding value of the debentures.

The tenure of the instruments stands at 1,078 days on a residual basis, reflecting medium-term funding requirements for the lender’s expanding housing finance operations.
