Mumbai, September 2, 2025: Shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd (BSE: 500038, NSE: BALRAMCHIN) rallied 7.82% in Tuesday’s early trade after the company announced that it has collaborated with CIPET Ahmedabad for its sustainable innovation initiative, “Bioyug on Wheels”. The initiative is aimed at advancing sustainable innovation and bio-based solutions.
Bioyug on Wheels Showcases 100% Compostable PLA Bioplastics
The programme was launched in Mumbai in May 2025 and has already covered Bhopal and Indore. It is now set to head south to Kochi, Kerala. The Ahmedabad edition of the program was held on August 30 at CIPET Ahmedabad. It featured interactive exhibits, live demonstrations of PLA bioplastics (100% compostable), networking sessions, and expert panel discussions. The occasion was graced by esteemed speakers, including Dr. S. K. Nayak, former Director General of CIPET, and Shri Paritosh Diwasali, Director of CIPET Ahmedabad.
Management Highlights Rising Demand for Sustainable Solutions
BCML’s PLA Division Sales Head, Ms. Shweta Suryawanshi, showed optimism for the initiative as she highlighted that Ahmedabad has a strong academic and industrial participation, which underscores the rising demand for sustainable solutions. She said, “We remain steadfast in our commitment to driving systemic change, supporting India’s environmental objectives, and promoting sustainable growth within the bioeconomy.”
Shares Trade at ₹578.25, Up 6.76%, Volume Hits 40.36 Lakh
As of 02-Sep-2025, 12:15 PM, shares of Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd were trading at ₹578.25, up 6.76% from the previous close of ₹541.65. The shares reached an intraday high of ₹584.00 and a low of ₹564.20 so far. The shares have been experiencing heavy trading activity as reflected in the volume and turnover, which reached 40.36 lakh shares and ₹233.28 crore, respectively. The VWAP of ₹577.95 suggests trades were concentrated near current levels, underscoring strong momentum in the session.
