Mumbai August, 31: Coforge Limited has unveiled an AI adoption framework designed to help enterprises scale agentic software development, while its shares were down 1.53% in late-morning trade.
According to the company’s exchange disclosure, Coforge’s new adoption fabric is intended to help enterprises address governance, workforce readiness and organisational change as they expand the use of AI agents in software development.
The framework brings together three change-management disciplines: Kotter’s Change Model, Prosci’s ADKAR framework and Operational Change Management (OpCM). Coforge said the combination is designed to address organisational alignment, individual adoption and changes to software development processes.
The company said the framework has been developed from its experience working with clients on AI and agentic development initiatives. It focuses on areas including code review, testing, requirements management, quality controls and team responsibilities within an agentic software development lifecycle.
Coforge said the objective is to help enterprises move beyond isolated AI pilots and establish repeatable processes for wider adoption.
Stock Market Snapshot
Coforge shares were trading at ₹1,983.80 as of 11:22:46 AM IST on August 31, 2026, down ₹30.80, or 1.53%, according to the market data provided.
The stock opened around ₹2,000 and moved lower through the morning, falling below ₹1,980 at one point before recovering part of the decline. It remained in negative territory at the cited timestamp.
Coforge share price was therefore down 1.53% even as the company announced the new AI adoption framework.

Framework Targets Enterprise AI Adoption Challenges
Coforge said organisations are increasing spending on AI-powered coding assistants and autonomous development tools, but productivity improvements do not necessarily translate into sustainable transformation.
The company’s framework is designed around that gap. It combines workforce readiness with changes to operating models and software development practices, rather than treating agentic AI deployment solely as a technology implementation.
The framework also addresses governance and execution issues that can emerge as organisations move from individual AI experiments to larger development programmes.
According to Coforge, the approach provides practical guidance around testing, requirements management, quality controls and accountability in an agentic software development environment.
Coforge Links AI Adoption With Operating Model Changes
The company said successful adoption of agentic development requires changes in how software programmes are managed, measured and scaled.
Its framework uses Kotter’s Change Model to support executive alignment and organisational momentum, ADKAR to address adoption at the individual level, and OpCM to reshape the software development lifecycle for scaled agentic development.
Coforge’s Chief AI Commercial Officer Anup Nair said the framework is intended to provide a structured approach for organisations seeking to turn AI investments into measurable business outcomes.
The company has also published a white paper on the transformation of the software development lifecycle as part of its broader AI adoption initiative.
Coforge Continues AI-Led Services Strategy
Coforge is an AI-focused engineering and technology services company that works with enterprises on software development, transformation and digital operations.
The company combines AI capabilities with specialised industry expertise and an AI-enabled workforce. Its stated focus includes autonomous enterprise solutions and the use of AI agents across software engineering and delivery operations.
The latest initiative expands that proposition from deploying AI tools to helping clients manage the organisational and operational changes associated with wider agentic AI adoption.
Conclusion
Coforge’s new adoption fabric addresses the practical side of moving agentic AI from experimentation into broader enterprise software development, with an emphasis on governance, workforce readiness and changes to operating processes.
The initiative adds to the company’s focus on AI-led engineering services, although the exchange disclosure does not quantify any immediate financial impact from the framework. Coforge shares were trading at ₹1,983.80, down 1.53%, as of 11:22:46 AM IST on August 31, 2026.
