New Delhi: Crude oil prices fell Rs 82 to Rs 8,782 per barrel in the futures trade on Friday amid weak global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for October delivery slipped Rs 82, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 8,782 per barrel in a business turnover of 8,375 lots.

Analysts said prices fell after participants offloaded their holdings amid weak demand in the spot market.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.96 per cent lower at USD 90.61 per barrel, and Brent crude fell 1.08 per cent to USD 103.15 per barrel in New York.
