Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

New Delhi: Crude oil prices on Tuesday rose 0.1 per cent to Rs 8,143 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for September delivery traded higher by Rs 8, or 0.1 per cent, at Rs 8,143 per barrel in 2,524 lots.
Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.06 per cent lower at USD 84.96 per barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.14 per cent to USD 92.04 per barrel in New York.
