Crude Oil Futures Rise Tracking Global Trends

New Delhi: Crude oil prices rose by Rs 78 to Rs 8,903 per barrel in the futures trade on Thursday amid positive global trends.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil futures for September delivery rose by Rs 78, or 0.88 per cent, to Rs 8,903 per barrel in a business turnover of 6,196 lots.

Analysts said the rise in bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.

Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading at USD 92.70 per barrel, up 0.59 per cent. Brent crude was marginally higher by 0.71 per cent at USD 103.81 per barrel in New York.
