Gold prices in Delhi remained largely stable on July 20, with rates easing by just ₹1 across all major purity categories. The 24K gold rate stood at ₹14,343 per gram, while 22K gold was priced at ₹13,144 per gram, reflecting a quiet start to the week as the bullion market continued to consolidate.

Delhi, July 20: Gold prices witnessed little movement in Delhi on Monday, with rates slipping marginally after remaining unchanged over the weekend. The bullion market continues to trade in a narrow band, as investors await stronger global cues before taking fresh positions.
According to today’s retail rates, 24-karat gold is selling at ₹14,343 per gram, down ₹1 from the previous session. 22-karat gold has slipped to ₹13,144 per gram, while 18-karat gold is now priced at ₹10,761 per gram, both also lower by ₹1.
Although the decline is negligible, it extends the market’s recent phase of consolidation after the sharp swings seen earlier this month.

Gold Market Continues to Trade in a Tight Range
Over the last few trading sessions, gold has shown very little momentum.
The sharp gains and declines witnessed during the middle of July have given way to a much calmer market. Daily price changes have become minimal as traders wait for fresh signals from international bullion markets, the US dollar and interest rate expectations.
Despite today’s small decline, 24K gold remains comfortably above the July 17 low of ₹14,268 per gram, though it is still below the recent highs recorded earlier in the month. That leaves buyers with more attractive prices compared to the peak levels seen in July.

Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Gold prices change daily due to fluctuations in international bullion prices, the rupee’s exchange rate against the US dollar, import costs, inflation expectations, central bank policies and geopolitical developments. Since these factors evolve continuously, domestic retail gold prices are revised every day.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Delhi remained almost unchanged on July 20, with 24K gold easing marginally to ₹14,343 per gram. The market continues to move in a narrow range after the recent correction, offering buyers relatively stable prices. Investors will now look to global economic developments for the next meaningful direction in gold.
