Gold Rate in Delhi Today, July 23, 2026
Authored By HDFC SKY | Last Modified: Jul 23, 2026 10:53 AM IST
Gold prices in Delhi were almost unchanged on July 23, with 24K gold inching up by ₹1 to ₹14,657 per gram and 22K gold rising by ₹1 to ₹13,446 per gram. While today’s move was modest, prices continue to hover near their highest levels this month after the sharp rally seen over the previous two sessions.

Delhi, July 23: Gold prices barely budged in the national capital on Thursday, with both 24K and 22K gold adding just ₹1 per gram over the previous session. Jewellers quoted 24K gold at ₹14,657 per gram, compared with ₹14,656 on Wednesday, while 22K gold moved up to ₹13,446 from ₹13,445. The 18K gold rate also increased marginally to ₹11,004 per gram.
Gold prices in Delhi showed little movement on Thursday, but retail rates continued to hold firm after the strong rally witnessed earlier this week. The market paused after back-to-back gains, keeping bullion prices close to their recent highs instead of giving up the momentum.
As of today, 24K gold is priced at ₹14,657 per gram, 22K gold at ₹13,446 per gram, while 18K gold is selling at ₹11,004 per gram.
Although today’s movement was limited, it comes immediately after one of the strongest rallies seen this month. On July 22, 24K gold jumped by ₹219 per gram, while 22K gold surged by ₹210, lifting retail prices sharply in a single day. Compared with that rally, Thursday’s increase suggests the market has settled into a more stable range rather than extending gains aggressively.
Looking at the last 10 days tells a clearer story. On July 14, 24K gold was priced at ₹14,295 per gram. It now stands at ₹14,657, meaning buyers are paying ₹362 more per gram than they were nine days ago. Over the same period, 22K gold has climbed from ₹13,105 to ₹13,446, a gain of ₹341 per gram.
Price movements through the month haven’t been one-sided. Gold slipped briefly around July 16 and July 17, remained unchanged over the next couple of sessions, and then staged a sharp recovery on July 22. That momentum has carried into Thursday, although the pace of gains has slowed considerably.
Anyone planning to buy jewellery today would pay ₹1,46,570 for 10 grams of 24K gold at the base rate. For 22K gold, the base value of 10 grams works out to ₹1,34,460, before making charges, GST and other levies are added.

How Have Gold Prices Moved Over the Last 10 Days?
Delhi’s gold market has seen a mix of sharp rallies and brief corrections over the past 10 days. After slipping on July 16 and July 17, prices steadied before registering a strong jump on July 22. Thursday’s marginal increase indicates that bullion prices are holding on to those gains rather than retreating.
Compared with July 14, 24K gold has appreciated by ₹362 per gram, while 22K gold has risen by ₹341 per gram. The trend suggests buyers have had to pay progressively higher prices as the month has progressed.
Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Gold prices don’t remain fixed because they reflect changes in the bullion market every day. Retail rates are influenced by international gold prices, domestic demand, import costs, currency movements and taxes. As these factors change, jewellers revise gold prices accordingly, which is why rates can move up, down or remain unchanged from one day to the next.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Delhi were largely unchanged on July 23, but the market continues to trade near its recent highs after the sharp rally earlier this week. With 24K gold at ₹14,657 per gram and 22K gold at ₹13,446 per gram, retail rates remain significantly above the levels seen at the start of the 10-day period. Buyers planning to purchase jewellery should consider not only the day’s gold rate but also making charges and taxes, which can have a meaningful impact on the final bill.
