How Have Gold Prices Moved Over the Last 10 Days?
Gold prices in Mumbai have staged a notable recovery during the second half of July. After slipping on July 16 and July 17, the market quickly reversed course, with steady gains over the following sessions. The biggest jump came on July 22, and today’s rise has helped extend that momentum.
Compared with July 14, 24K gold is now ₹448 per gram higher, while 22K gold has gained ₹410 per gram. The back-to-back gains over the last two sessions have taken prices to the highest level recorded during the 10-day period.
Why Do Gold Prices Change Every Day?
Retail gold prices are revised every day because they reflect changes in the bullion market. Rates can move due to fluctuations in international gold prices, domestic demand, import costs, currency movements, taxes and local market conditions. As these factors change, jewellers update their retail prices accordingly.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Mumbai continued to strengthen on July 23, extending the rally that began in the previous session. With 24K gold at ₹14,728 per gram and 22K gold at ₹13,500 per gram, retail rates are now at their highest point in the last 10 days. While the recent uptrend may influence near-term jewellery purchases, buyers should also factor in making charges and taxes, which can significantly increase the final bill.
