What Drives Gold Prices in Bangalore?
Gold prices in Bangalore are influenced by international bullion prices, movements in the rupee against the US dollar, domestic demand, import costs and global economic developments. Daily retail rates can also differ between sources and jewellers because of local pricing practices and the treatment of taxes and other charges.
Recent market coverage also points to a softer dollar and changing expectations around US monetary policy as factors supporting gold prices.
Conclusion
Gold prices in Bangalore moved higher on August 17, with 24K gold reaching ₹15,566 per gram, while 22K gold stood at ₹14,270 and 18K gold at ₹11,676 per gram.
Monday’s gains extended the recovery after the August 13 correction and pushed the rates to their highest levels in the 10-day data shown. For jewellery buyers, the displayed gold rate is only the starting point, as making charges, GST and retailer-specific costs can increase the final purchase price.
