HDFC Bank, Wockhardt and Infosys dominated NSE’s most active equities list by traded value on June 1, 2026, reflecting strong institutional and retail participation.

Mumbai, June 1: HDFC Bank emerged as the most actively traded stock on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) by traded value on June 1, 2026, while Wockhardt and Infosys also featured prominently among the session’s busiest counters.
According to exchange data, HDFC Bank recorded a traded value of ₹3,56,949.53 lakh on volume of 4.80 crore shares. The stock closed at ₹742.50, marginally lower by 0.28% from its previous close of ₹744.55.
Wockhardt ranked second on the value chart with turnover of ₹2,65,029.02 lakh. The pharmaceutical company’s shares advanced 5.25% to ₹2,138.00 during the session, making it one of the strongest performers among high-value traded stocks.
Infosys secured the third position with traded value of ₹2,34,284.76 lakh. The IT major gained 3.67% to close at ₹1,203.50.

Mixed Price Performance Despite Heavy Activity
The list reflected a mix of gainers and decliners despite elevated turnover. Wockhardt, Infosys, Coal India and TCS ended higher, while several large-cap names including ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries and State Bank of India closed marginally lower.
Among the notable movers, Mtar Technologies declined 8.94%, while Adani Total Gas fell 5.21%. Power India also witnessed selling pressure, ending 5.44% lower.
The HDFC Bank share price remained under focus throughout the session owing to its position as the most actively traded stock by value. Meanwhile, Wockhardt attracted substantial investor interest following strong price gains alongside elevated turnover.
