Jain Irrigation Systems has received a ₹117.96 crore Maharashtra order for 5,000 off-grid solar PV water pumping systems, while shares jumped about 5.7%.

Mumbai September, 17: Jain Irrigation Systems Limited has received a letter of empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the supply and installation of 5,000 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, according to an exchange disclosure dated September 17, 2026. The order covers the supply, design, manufacture, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar pumping systems. The project includes systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP.
According to the regulatory filing, the total order consideration is approximately ₹117.96 crore, inclusive of GST. The project is to be completed within 60 days.
