Jindal Stainless has signed a technical assistance agreement with Japan’s JFE Steel to strengthen ferritic stainless steel manufacturing and product quality, while shares gain 0.29%.

Mumbai September, 07: Jindal Stainless has entered into a technical assistance agreement with Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and product quality for selected ferritic stainless steel grades.
As per the regulatory filing, the agreement will provide Jindal Stainless with technical assistance from JFE Steel in areas related to the manufacturing of selected ferritic stainless steel grades.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening manufacturing practices and product quality, with JFE Steel bringing its technical expertise in ferritic stainless steel production to the partnership.
Ferritic stainless steel is used across several applications, including automotive components, railway equipment, industrial machinery, kitchen products and other areas where corrosion resistance, durability and cost efficiency are important.
The agreement forms part of Jindal Stainless’ broader focus on technology, manufacturing efficiency and developing higher-value stainless steel products.

Its manufacturing and processing network comprises 16 facilities across India and overseas, including operations in Spain and Indonesia. The company produces a broad range of stainless steel products, including slabs, blooms, coils, plates, sheets, precision strips, wire rods, bars, billets and coin blanks.
Jindal Stainless serves customers across sectors such as automotive, railways, infrastructure, architecture, consumer goods and industrial applications. Its manufacturing operations also use electric arc furnace technology, supporting the recycling of steel scrap as part of its production process.
JFE Steel Partnership Adds To Manufacturing And Product Development Focus
The technical agreement gives Jindal Stainless access to JFE Steel’s expertise in ferritic stainless steel manufacturing and provides a framework for technical cooperation between the two companies.
For Jindal Stainless, the arrangement is focused on improving manufacturing practices and maintaining product quality in the grades covered by the agreement. It also strengthens the company’s engagement with international steelmaking expertise as it expands its product and application capabilities.
