The actual figure came in at 13 billion cubic feet (B), a significant drop from the previous week’s 56B.

US business activity picks up in August, factories lead the way – survey U.S. business activity picked up pace in August, led by a resurgent manufacturing sector that saw the strongest growth in orders in 18 months, a purchasing managers survey showed on Thursday.

U.S. initial jobless claims rise, exceeding forecasted numbers In a recent economic event, the number of initial jobless claims in the U.S. rose, indicating an increase in individuals who filed for unemployment insurance for the first time in the past week. The actual number of claims reported was 235K, significantly higher than anticipated.
