Mumbai, October 10, 2025Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited’s share price is witnessing positive investor demand today, following the company’s announcement that it has secured a major work order worth ₹127.12 crore from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). As of 1:30 PM, the shares were up by 0.51%, or 12.20 points, and were trading at ₹2,390.10. Until now, the shares have traded within a range of ₹2,494.80 and ₹2,330.10. The current traded volume stands at 1.17 lakh shares, with the company’s market cap at ₹2,568 crore. The shares have their 52-week high at ₹2,599.90 and their 52-week low at ₹1,264.05.

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited is an Indian company that is engaged in operating and owning marine crafts. It also undertakes repair and maintenance services of ships. The company was established in 2015 and is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The shares of the company are listed on NSE with the ticker symbol KMEW and on BSE with the code 543273.

₹127.12 Crore IWAI Shipbuilding Order

The rise in the share price comes after the company announced that it has secured a major work order worth ₹127.12 crore from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). The order is related to designing, constructing, and supplying of four cutter suction dredgers along with ancillary vessels under the Capacity Augmentation of National Waterway-1 (River Ganga) initiative.

It will include 4 Cutter Suction Dredgers, 4 Work Boats, and 4 Accommodation Boats. The company is required to execute the order within 18 months. The execution will be split into two phases, where the first phase will see the supply of half the fleet within 14 months and the remaining within 18 months. These vessels will play a crucial role in IWAI’s Jal Marg Vikas Project. They will aim to improve navigability and inland shipping capacity on the Ganga River.

Strengthening Shipbuilding Business

Commenting on the development, Sujay Kewalramani, CEO of KMEW, said, “We are proud to announce this repeat order from IWAI. This win strengthens our shipbuilding business and aligns perfectly with the government’s Make in India initiative. We remain committed to timely delivery and continued expansion in commercial shipbuilding.”
