LG Electronics India has entered India’s chest freezer market with a new convertible range for commercial applications, while shares traded around ₹1,668, up about 2.5%.

Mumbai September, 17: LG Electronics India Limited has entered India’s chest freezer market with a new range of convertible chest freezers aimed at commercial customers, according to a press release issued on September 17, 2026. The new range allows users to switch between cooling and freezing modes, giving businesses greater flexibility depending on their storage requirements. LG said the products are designed for applications including frozen food, ice cream, dairy, pharmaceutical, food storage and other commercial uses.
The portfolio includes models with capacities of 102L, 205L, 315L and 530L. The company has introduced both PRO and PLUS variants across the range.

The chest freezer portfolio comprises models across 102L, 205L, 315L and 530L capacities. The PRO models include features such as one-touch convertible operation, Ultra Freeze, digital temperature control and LED lighting.
The 315L and 530L PRO models carry a 5-star BEE rating, according to the company’s product information. The range also includes 7.5-star BEE-rated models, depending on the configuration.
LG said selected models are equipped with features including fast cooling, temperature display, insulated doors and cabinet construction designed for commercial use.
LG Targets Flexible Commercial Cold Storage
The company said the new portfolio is intended to address changing cold-storage requirements among businesses. The convertible functionality allows operators to use the same equipment for cooling or freezing, depending on the products being stored.
The range also includes features aimed at commercial environments, such as caster wheels with brakes, pocket handles, removable gaskets and LED lighting. LG said these features are intended to make the units easier to move, operate and maintain.
Pricing for the new models starts at ₹28,990 for the 102L PRO model and extends to ₹62,990 for the 530L PRO variant, according to the supplied product information.

LG Electronics India operates across consumer electronics and home appliances, with products spanning refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, washing machines and other categories.
