Mumbai, June 23: Vedanta, Vodafone Idea and Ola Electric Mobility featured among the most actively traded stocks by volume on Indian exchanges as market participants remained focused on high-liquidity counters during Wednesday’s session.

Vedanta topped the activity chart with over 17.46 crore shares changing hands, followed by Vodafone Idea with more than 14.32 crore shares and Ola Electric with nearly 13.67 crore shares traded during the session.

Vedanta remained the most active counter despite ending 7.73% lower at ₹282.20. Vodafone Idea declined 2.56% to ₹14.44, while Ola Electric advanced 2.78% to ₹43.70.

Other heavily traded stocks included Tata Investment Corporation, Vodafone Group-linked Vodafone Idea, Meesho-linked listed entity (VOGL), Suzlon Energy and HCC.

Pace Digitek, Roto Pumps and PPL Pharma Register Sharp Gains

Among the active counters, Pace Digitek emerged as one of the strongest performers, surging 11.72% to ₹205.35.

Roto Pumps gained 9.58% to ₹71.40, while PPL Pharma advanced 6.65% to ₹169.05. Meesho rose 7.72% and VISL added 4.28%, indicating selective buying interest despite broader volatility.

The Pace Digitek share price movement was accompanied by trading volume of nearly 4.84 crore shares, highlighting strong investor participation.

Several High-Volume Stocks End inThe Red

A number of actively traded counters finished lower despite robust turnover.

Vedanta recorded the steepest decline among the volume leaders, falling 7.73%. Tata Investment Corporation and Silver ETFs both lost over 4%, while SEPC, NMDC, HCC and IFCI also ended lower.

This suggests that elevated trading activity was driven by both buying and profit-booking across different sectors.

Conclusion

Trading activity on June 23 remained concentrated in Vedanta, Vodafone Idea and Ola Electric, which collectively accounted for a significant share of market volumes. While Pace Digitek, Roto Pumps and PPL Pharma delivered strong gains, several high-volume stocks, including Vedanta and Tata Investment Corporation, ended the session under pressure.
