Torrent Power – Torrent Power received a Letter of Award to set up a 1,600 MW ultra-supercritical coal-based power plant in Madhya Pradesh, its single largest investment in the power sector. The Project is to be commissioned within 72 months from the date of execution of the PPA. This project would entail an investment of approximately. Rs 22,000 crore. 

 

Zydus Wellness – Zydus Wellness announced the acquisition of Comfort Click for GBP 239 million. Comfort Click reported revenue of GBP 134 million and EBITDA of GBP 21 million year ended June 2025. The company is in the Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements (VMS) business. The majority of the CCL revenue from the sale of its products is through e-commerce and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) channels in the UK and Europe.  

 

Neogen Chemicals – Board of Neogen Ionics Ltd. (NIL) has approved the execution of JVA with Morita Investment Limited (MIL) – a wholly owned subsidiary of Morita Chemicals Industries Co. Limited (MCL). NIL shall own a minimum of 80% of the share capital of NML and MIL shall own a maximum of 20% of the share capital of Neogen Morita Chemicals (NML).  

NIL and MIL have entered into this JVA with an object to utilise the technological and manufacturing capabilities of both organisations and to utilise these synergies to participate in the rapidly growing Lithium-Ion Battery business.  

 

HEG Ltd. – HEG Ltd. Announces that its wholly owned subsidiary TACC Ltd. has signed a technical collaboration agreement with Ceylon Graphene Technologies (CGT) to accelerate the commercialization of graphene and its derivatives. CGT, a LOLC Group company based in Sri Lanka, is a global expert in graphene production. 

 

Graphite India Ltd. – Graphite India Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to facilitate its proposed investment in the Synthetic Graphite Anode Material project.  

 

Telecom – In July, Reliance Jio led mobile subscriber additions with 482,954 new users, closely followed by Bharti Airtel with 464,437. Conversely, Vodafone Idea experienced a loss of 359,199 subscribers, while BSNL saw a decrease of 100,707. Airtel dominated broadband additions, gaining 2.75 million customers, ahead of Jio’s 1.41 million.

Aditya Birla Capital – The Company has made an investment of Rs 250 crores in its housing finance arm, Aditya Birla Housing Finance, on a rights basis. 

 

Insurance Industry – The finance ministry has issued a notification to facilitate 100% foreign investment in the insurance sector, pending parliamentary approval. The amendment replaces the existing 74% limit with provisions stipulated by the Insurance Act, 1938, allowing foreign investment through the automatic route, subject to IRDAI verification. This move aims to unlock the sector’s potential and boost its projected 7.1% annual growth. 

 

NCC – The Company has received two orders during August 2025, totaling Rs. 788.34 crore (excl. GST). These orders pertain to the Water Division. 

 

RBL Bank – RBL Bank’s board has approved seeking shareholder nod at the upcoming 82nd AGM to raise up to Rs 3,500 crore via equity issuance through QIP and up to Rs 3,000 crore through debt securities on a private placement basis, in multiple tranches.  

 

NHPC Ltd. – State-owned company said its board has approved a revised borrowing plan of up to Rs 10,000 crore for FY26, to be raised via bonds, term loans or external commercial borrowings in multiple tranches. 

 

BHEL – BHEL has signed a licensing agreement with DRDO’s Hyderabad-based Defence Metallurgical Research Lab to manufacture fused silica radar domes, strengthening indigenous capabilities for seeker-based missile guidance systems. 

 

PG Electroplast – PG Electroplast Ltd’s step-down subsidiary has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to set up a Rs 1,000 crore greenfield consumer electronics facility in Kamargaon, Ahilyanagar. 

 

Sterlite Tech – The company said its US arm, Sterlite Technologies Inc, has been ordered by a US court to pay US$96.5 mn in a case filed by Prysmian Cables over alleged breach of non-compete and confidentiality agreements. STL clarified that it is not a party to the dispute.  

 

Popular Vehicles and Services – The automobile services have received in-principle approval from Maruti Suzuki India to acquire an authorised dealership in Telangana, covering transfer of operational assets including equipment, machinery, and digital assets (excluding land and buildings). 

 

GOCL Corporation – Hinduja Group firm has given in-principle approval to acquire the thermal power operations of Hinduja National Power Corporation Ltd, which operates a 1,040 MW (2×520 MW) coal-based plant near Visakhapatnam with potential expansion.  

 

Gujrat Inds Power – Gujarat government approved proposal to establish 700–750 MW lignite-based power plant at Valia; GUVNL’s Board approved procurement of power from the GIPCL’s proposed 700 MW plant for 25 years, subject to approval from the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC). 

 

Signature Global – Signature Global Ltd has purchased 33.47-acre land parcels at Sohna, Gurugram, for around Rs 450 crore to develop housing projects. 

 

Dish TV – Dish TV has been penalised again by leading bourses BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) over composition and lack of quorum on its board. Dish TV, which has been embroiled in a tussle at the board level for the last few years among its promoters, was fined by the bourses in 2023 and 2024 for the same reason. 

 

Ather Energy – Ather Energy unveiled a new two-wheeler platform for a new generation of electric scooters across multiple segments. The company also announced a series of other significant product and technology developments, including showcasing a concept Moto-scooter Redux, and AtherStack 7.0, which would alert riders to share live location, report on potholes and crashes, update them on tyre pressure, among others. 

 

Role Rings – The board will consider a stock split & bonus issue on September 3. 

 

BEML – BEML Limited has bagged an order from Indian Railways for the supply of Utility Track Vehicles with a contract valuing more than Rs. 80 crore. The company said that it had an order backlog of Rs 14,429 crores as of June 2025. 

 

Neuland Laboratories – The Company has commenced the commercial production of its additional capacity under the expansion plan at Unit 3, Gaddapotharam Village, Jinnaram Mandal, Sangareddy District, Telangana. 

 

Apollo Tyres – The Company had intimated regarding the pending litigation at the Central, Excise and Service Tax Tribunal involving a sum of Rs. 301.6 crore. In this connection, the company said that the Central, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal has allowed the appeal in favour of the Company. 

 

Aurobindo Pharma – United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) inspected Unit-I, an API manufacturing facility, of Apitoria Pharma Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, at Hatnoor Mandal, Sangareddy District, Telangana, from August 21 to August 29, 2025. At the end of the current inspection, a ‘Form 483’ was issued with 5 observations, which are procedural in nature, and no data integrity issues were reported.
