Eternal, Adani Enterprises and Nestlé India led the Nifty 50 gainers, while HCLTech, Tech Mahindra and TCS ended among the top losers on July 1.

Mumbai, July 1: Consumer-focused and Adani Group stocks ended higher, while information technology shares remained under pressure as the market closed on Wednesday.
Eternal, Adani Enterprises and Nestlé India led the gainers’ list, whereas HCLTech, Tech Mahindra and TCS were among the biggest drags on the benchmark index.
Eternal Tops Gainers; HCLTech Leads Declines
Eternal surged 5.82% to ₹280, emerging as the top gainer on the Nifty 50. Adani Enterprises advanced 3.52% to ₹3,143, while Nestlé India climbed 3.40% to ₹1,453.
Asian Paints gained 3.01%, Hindustan Unilever rose 2.99%, and Adani Ports added 2.10%. Mahindra & Mahindra, UltraTech Cement and Kotak Mahindra Bank also closed higher.
On the losing side, HCLTech fell 3.40% to ₹1,035.40, Tech Mahindra declined 3.18%, while TCS dropped 2.45%. Hindalco Industries and Tata Steel also ended lower.

The Eternal share price remained in focus after the stock emerged as the top performer on the benchmark index.
IT Stocks Under Pressure Despite Broad-Based Buying
Consumer goods, cement and Adani Group stocks supported the market, with buying also visible in banking names such as Kotak Mahindra Bank and SBI. However, weakness across major IT stocks, including HCLTech, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Infosys, limited the benchmark’s gains.
