Nifty 50 Top Gainers and Losers of June 24, 2026: Trent, ICICI Bank, IndiGo Lead; Bajaj Auto, SBI Life, NTPC Among Laggards

Trent, ICICI Bank and IndiGo led the Nifty 50 gainers in early trade, while Bajaj Auto, SBI Life and NTPC were among the top losers on June 24.

Mumbai, June 24: Trent, ICICI Bank and InterGlobe Aviation emerged as the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index during midday trading on June 24, while Bajaj Auto, SBI Life Insurance and NTPC led the declines.
Buying interest was visible across retail, banking and aviation counters, helping offset weakness in select auto, insurance and power stocks.
Trent Tops Gainers as Retail Stocks Extend Momentum
Trent was the best-performing Nifty stock, rising 3.58% to ₹3,255.40.
ICICI Bank advanced 2.76% to ₹1,375.30, while IndiGo climbed 2.68% to ₹5,094.40. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Adani Enterprises and Tech Mahindra also featured among the major gainers.

Bajaj Auto, SBI Life and NTPC Lead Declines
Bajaj Auto was the biggest laggard in the benchmark index, falling 2.57% to ₹9,767.00.
SBI Life Insurance declined 1.77% to ₹1,754.50, while NTPC slipped 1.71% to ₹358.35. HDFC Life, Maruti Suzuki and TVS Motor Company also traded lower.
The Bajaj Auto share price remained under pressure amid broad weakness in select automobile counters during the session.

Banking Stocks Provide Support While Autos Lag
Private banking stocks were among the strongest contributors to the benchmark’s gains, with ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank all trading in positive territory.
Meanwhile, weakness in automobile and insurance names capped broader market gains, reflecting selective profit booking after recent advances.
Conclusion
Trent, ICICI Bank and IndiGo led the Nifty 50 gainers in midday trade on June 24, while Bajaj Auto, SBI Life and NTPC headed the losers’ list. As of 12:09 PM IST, banking, retail and aviation stocks were supporting market sentiment, whereas auto and insurance counters remained under pressure.
