Mumbai, June 10: Nifty 50 constituents traded on a mixed note on Wednesday, with banking and FMCG counters supporting the benchmark index, while metal and energy shares remained under selling pressure during the session.

HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Kotak Mahindra Bank emerged among the top gainers in the index by early afternoon trade. On the downside, Hindalco Industries, Coal India and Tata Steel featured among the biggest laggards.

Broader market sentiment remained stock-specific as investors tracked sector rotation, institutional activity and global commodity cues.

HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever and Kotak Mahindra Bank Lead Gainers
