Mumbai, July 31 (09:07 IST) – The Nifty 50 index fell sharply in the pre-opening session, down 212.80 points (–0.86%) to 24,642.25. Out of 50 stocks, 49 opened lower, while only Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) was in the green.
