Ahmedabad, October 8, 2025Nila Infrastructures Limited (BSE: 530377; NSE: NILAINFRA) share price surged 9.18% today, after the company announced that it has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to redevelop the slum cluster “Kajimiya ni Chali” under the Slum Rehabilitation and Redevelopment Policy 2013, in accordance with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) guidelines.

Nila Infrastructures Limited is a major urban infrastructure development player based in Ahmedabad, established in 1990, with a major focus on affordable housing and civic developments. The firm has been a consistent player in redevelopment projects of the public sector within Gujarat and Rajasthan, betting on its strength in project implementation, regulatory adherence, and planned use of land. Nila Infrastructures is listed on BSE as well as NSE, having a history of supporting urban development while creating shareholder value.

Key Order Details

As per the October 7, 2025, filing of the company, the AMC project involves the development of 728 residential units and 25 commercial shops with a total value of development of ₹105.02 crore. The project will be implemented on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) basis within a 30-month tenure.

Nila Infrastructures will be paid in the form of a mix of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) of ₹56.51 crore and free-sale land having an area of 4,209.61 sq. mtr., which is valued at ₹48.51 crore. The project squarely fits within the core business operations of the company, having high development potential and enhancing its presence in Gujarat’s affordable housing industry.

Market Reaction

Shares of Nila Infrastructures jumped sharply after the announcement, indicating investor confidence. The stock traded at ₹10.94, up ₹0.92, on the BSE at 2:54 pm IST, compared to the last close of ₹10.02. The stock had an intraday high of ₹11.20 and a low of ₹10.21, with a volume of 4.56 lakh shares changing hands. The company’s market value was at ₹421.07 crore, with its free float market cap at ₹155.28 crore.
