Mumbai, July 10: A number of low-priced and small-cap stocks traded near their daily price bands on Friday, reflecting heightened activity in select counters. Most of the stocks on the list hovered close to their upper circuit limits, indicating sustained buying interest, while a few remained under selling pressure near the lower band.
Primecab Leads the Upper Price Band List
Primecab topped the list after gaining 4.98% to ₹156.95, trading just below its 5% upper price band. The stock also recorded a turnover of ₹3.83 crore, the highest among the counters featured.
BikeWo Green Tech rose 4.95% to ₹50.85, while Nueon Towers advanced 4.94% to ₹13.81. ABAN also climbed 4.94% to ₹14.23, and Morarjee Textiles added 4.96% to ₹10.16, highlighting broad buying interest across smaller-cap names.

A Few Stocks Remain Under Selling Pressure
Not all price band hitters traded on the positive side. Lakpre declined 4.86% to ₹5.29, nearing its lower price band, while MEP Infrastructure Developers slipped 1.54%. FEL and MT Educare traded with limited movement during the session.
Price bands are designed to curb excessive volatility by restricting the extent to which a stock can move during a trading session. Once the upper or lower band is reached, trading may be temporarily restricted depending on exchange rules and available orders.
Why Price Band Hitters Matter
Stocks approaching their price bands often attract traders’ attention because they indicate unusually strong buying or selling interest. However, such moves may be driven by speculation, low floating stock, corporate announcements or liquidity constraints. Investors generally monitor trading volumes, corporate disclosures and fundamentals before drawing conclusions from price-band movements.
Conclusion
Friday’s price band list was dominated by buying in Primecab, BikeWo Green Tech, Nueon Towers, ABAN and Morarjee Textiles, while Lakpre and MEP Infrastructure Developers remained among the notable laggards. The session reflected continued interest in select small-cap counters, though investors may look for confirmation through sustained volumes and company-specific developments in the coming sessions.
