Mumbai August, 11: Pyramid Technoplast Limited is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Kutch, Gujarat, as part of a capacity expansion plan that will add 10,000 intermediate bulk container (IBC) units per month.

According to the company’s exchange disclosure, the proposed facility will involve an investment of ₹20-25 crore and is expected to be commissioned by March 2027.

The company said the Kutch location will strengthen its presence in Western India and help it serve customers with shorter delivery times and improved logistics. The additional capacity is also intended to support demand for its IBC products in the region.

Alongside the expansion, Pyramid Technoplast has secured government subsidy approvals for its existing facilities at Wada and Bharuch. The company said the benefits could reduce the effective investment cost of these projects.

For the Wada facility, a subsidy of approximately ₹24.9 crore over 10 years has been approved, with the company expecting to receive the first tranche by March 2027.

For Unit 7 at Bharuch, subsidy benefits of around ₹10.5 crore have been approved, although the application for formal sanction is still pending.

Taken together, the potential subsidy support is estimated at approximately ₹35.4 crore, subject to applicable approvals and disbursement procedures.

Stock Market Snapshot

The expansion announcement did not translate into an immediate gain for the stock.

As of 3:08 PM IST on August 11, 2026, the Pyramid Technoplast share price stood at ₹170.69, down ₹2.16, or 1.25%, according to the market data provided.

The stock traded largely around the ₹170-175 range during the session, with a brief rise during the afternoon before giving up those gains. By the latest available timestamp, the shares had moved lower.

Expansion Aims To Improve Regional Capacity And Project Economics

Pyramid Technoplast manufactures rigid industrial packaging products, including IBCs and other packaging solutions used by industrial customers.

The Kutch project is aimed specifically at expanding the company’s IBC manufacturing capacity. The company said the facility should provide an additional growth platform while improving freight efficiency and customer service across Western India.

Management also highlighted other initiatives at its manufacturing footprint, including solar and recycling measures, as part of efforts to improve cost efficiency and capacity utilisation.

The subsidy approvals for Wada and Bharuch are expected to improve the economics of the respective projects by lowering their effective capital cost. The company said this should support project returns and cash generation over the longer term.

Managing Director Bijay Agarwal said the Kutch expansion, together with the subsidy benefits, is intended to strengthen the company’s manufacturing base while keeping capital deployment disciplined.

Conclusion

Pyramid Technoplast is combining a new ₹20-25 crore Kutch facility with government subsidy support for its Wada and Bharuch projects as it expands manufacturing capacity.

The Kutch unit is expected to add 10,000 IBC units a month by March 2027, while the company has disclosed potential subsidy benefits of approximately ₹35.4 crore across the other facilities.

Despite the operational announcements, the stock remained weak. Pyramid Technoplast shares were down 1.25% at ₹170.69 as of 3:08 PM IST on August 11, 2026.
