Mumbai, Sept 24: Here are five stocks in focus on Thursday, from a recycling nod for Pyramid Technoplast to a defence deal for Bharat Dynamics to a railway contract for BCPL Railway Infrastructure to a Ghaziabad land tie-up for Max Estates to a wind-transformer order for Accord Transformer & Switchgear. Here’s what’s driving each stock and what to track through the session.

Pyramid Technoplast (PYRAMID): Gets amended GPCB nod to recycle 960 MT of third-party waste annually

Pyramid Technoplast has received an amended Consolidated Consent and Authorisation from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, permitting the company to receive, collect, store, transport and recycle industrial packaging waste generated by other companies, including empty barrels, containers and liners contaminated with hazardous chemicals. The amended clearance permits recycling of up to 960 MT of third-party waste a year and manufacturing of up to 9,000 cleaned barrels and containers a month, adding to its existing capacity of 1,000 MT of reprocessed plastic granules monthly. The move opens a new service-based revenue stream from pharmaceutical and chemical clients seeking compliant waste disposal, building on a pilot that processed 200 MT earlier this year.

Bharat Dynamics (BDL): Signs Rs 810.79-crore SAT-SAAW deal with Ministry of Defence

Bharat Dynamics has signed a Rs 810.79-crore contract with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of 160 Satellite Smart Anti-Airfield Weapons (SAT-SAAW), along with associated equipment, to the Indian Air Force. The contract, signed in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, has been placed under the Buy (Indian-Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category. SAT-SAAW is a DRDO-developed, air-to-ground precision-guided glide bomb that can be launched from the Jaguar, Hawk and Su-30 MKI to strike enemy airfields from a long stand-off range, and will carry 60 per cent indigenous content. Deliveries of the 160 systems are scheduled between 2027-28 and 2028-29, adding fresh revenue visibility to BDL’s order book.

BCPL Railway Infrastructure (BCPL): Wins Rs 6.22-crore Howrah cantilever contract

BCPL Railway Infrastructure has secured a Rs 6.22-crore contract from Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division for the replacement of old, overaged and rusted cantilever assemblies, critical components of overhead railway electrification systems. The project is scheduled for completion over 18 months from the Letter of Acceptance. The win follows a string of Eastern Railway awards through September, including a separate jumper-replacement project in the same division, and comes on the back of a strong quarter for the company, with Q1 FY27 revenue up 12.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 74.94 crore and net profit more than doubling to Rs 3.03 crore.

Max Estates (MAXESTATES): Enters Ghaziabad with 9.76-acre Indirapuram tie-up

Max Estates will enter into a Joint Development Agreement for an approximately 9.76-acre land parcel in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, along National Expressway-3, envisaging a super built-up development potential of around 1.5 million square feet and an estimated gross development value of Rs 2,500-3,000 crore. Structured as a capital-light, revenue-sharing deal, the transaction marks the company’s entry into the Ghaziabad micro-market and remains subject to due diligence and requisite approvals. It follows Max Estates’ August 28 agreement to acquire an 84.71-acre West Delhi land parcel via a non-cash share swap worth Rs 420.2 crore, unlocking a GDV of Rs 10,000-12,000 crore.

Accord Transformer & Switchgear (ACCORD): Bags Rs 20.02-crore Bhuj wind order

Accord Transformer & Switchgear has secured a Rs 20.02-crore order, excluding GST, for the supply of 57 wind turbine transformers to Aditya Birla Renewables’ Bhuj-1 and Bhuj-2 projects in Gujarat. The order, comprising 3.6 MVA and 5.5 MVA units awarded by a private EPC contractor, is to be executed within four to five months of the purchase order. The win builds on the vendor approval the company received from Aditya Birla Renewables in July 2026, marking its transition from empanelment to active contract execution in the renewable energy segment.

Broader Read

Thursday’s triggers span a regulatory nod unlocking a new recycling revenue stream for Pyramid Technoplast, a large defence order for Bharat Dynamics, a routine but steady railway-infrastructure win for BCPL Railway Infrastructure, a capital-light NCR land tie-up for Max Estates, and a renewable-energy transformer order for Accord Transformer & Switchgear. Taken together, the five names offer a cross-section of the kind of news flow investors are tracking this week: regulatory clearances unlocking new business lines, large defence and infrastructure contract wins, and order-book additions across railways and renewables. Each development carries its own near-term catalyst for the respective stock, and traders are likely to watch opening trade closely for how each name digests the news relative to its recent price action.
