Mumbai, September 5, 2025: Reliance Infrastructure’s share price declined today, trading at ₹283.50 as of 3:13 PM, down 1.30% or 3.75 points. The stock fluctuated between ₹289.00 and ₹276.30 during the session, with a traded volume of 7.56 lakh shares. The company’s market capitalisation currently stands at ₹11,744 crore.

2% Stake Sale in DRAL to Dassault Aviation

The share price decline͏ was tr͏i͏gger͏ed by Relianc͏e Infras͏tructure’s a͏nnounceme͏nt͏ that it has enter͏ed into an agree͏men͏t͏ ͏to transfer͏ 2% of its ͏equity in Dassau͏lt Re͏lianc͏e Aerospace Limited (DRAL) to joi͏nt ven͏ture partner Dass͏ault ͏Avia͏tion fo͏r approximat͏el͏y ₹175.96 crore. This ͏sale͏ redu͏c͏es Reliance I͏nfra’s ͏stake fr͏om 51% t͏o͏ ͏49%, reclassifying DRAL from a subsidiar͏y ͏to an as͏sociate ͏enti͏ty. The ͏agree͏me͏nt was s͏igned today, with the tr͏ans͏action expecte͏d͏ to be completed by November 1, 20͏25.

DRAL’s Contribution of ₹69.93 Crore

As of March 31, 2025, DRAL contributed ₹69.93 crore in turnover, accounting for 0.23% of Reliance Infrastructure’s consolidated turnover. It had a net worth of ₹47.13 crore, or 0.33% of consolidated net worth. With the stake sale, Reliance Infra will now get a 2% lower contribution amount of any future turnover reported by DRAL. The divestment will rebalance equity ownership in the joint venture. It is likely to strengthen Dassault’s position in DRAL while providing Reliance Infrastructure with liquidity worth ₹175.96 crore.

Reliance Infrastructure’s divestment of a 2% DRAL stake reflects a strategic rebalancing of joint venture ownership. While the transaction reduces Reliance Infra’s consolidated contribution from DRAL, it provides ₹175.96 crore in liquidity and strengthens Dassault Aviation’s position. The reclassification of DRAL as an associate simplifies reporting and may streamline equity ownership and governance in the joint venture going forward.
