SAIL Declares ₹1.60 Final Dividend for FY25; Record Date Set for September 9

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced that it has declared a final dividend of ₹1.60 per equity share for FY25. It is 16% of the paid-up share capital of SAIL and was recommended by the company’s board in its meeting held on May 28. The company has set September 9 as the record date for the dividend payout. The record date is the date on or before which shareholders must hold a company’s shares to be eligible for the dividend payout.

As of 2:35 PM, SAIL share price was down by 1.31%, or 1.62 points and was trading at ₹121.63. The shares opened at ₹123.23 but are trading lower as of now.

Once the dividend payout is approved, SAIL is required to make the payout within 30 days from the date of the Annual General Meeting, where the dividend payout is expected to be approved by the shareholders. If it is approved, shareholders holding 100 shares will receive ₹160 as the final dividend.

The dividend announcement will provide monetary benefit for SAIL’s shareholders. It also establishes positive financial health of the company and its adequate cash flows for future operations.
